Membership

Membership is limited, considered, and earned.

LIBA accepts one professional per category. Members are expected to show up, contribute, and represent the association well.

Who Should Join

Is LIBA right for you?

  • Owners, partners, and senior professionals with an established practice
  • Licensed and credentialed practitioners in good standing
  • Professionals who serve clients across Nassau and Suffolk County
  • Those who value long-term relationships over transactional networking

Professional Exclusivity

Only one member may hold a given professional category at a time. When a category is filled, qualified applicants are placed on a waiting list and notified as soon as the seat opens.

Exclusivity protects the clarity of every referral: there is never a question about who the group should call.

Attendance Expectations

Presence is the price of trust.

Members are expected to attend the majority of scheduled meetings each year and arrive ready to take part.

Consistent participation is the strongest predictor of member success. The relationships that lead to trust, introductions, and business opportunities are built by spending time together—not simply by having a seat in the group.

Referral Philosophy

Refer as though your name is on it.

Because it is. Members make warm introductions with context and follow through with both parties until the loop is closed.

We do not measure members by referral counts alone. We measure them by whether their introductions are worth receiving.
