About LIBA

Building relationships that strengthen businesses.

The Long Island Business Association brings together trusted business owners and industry leaders from across Long Island who believe lasting success is built on genuine relationships, mutual trust, and a willingness to support one another.

A Community, Not a Contact List

Relationships always come first.

While networking is an important part of what we do, LIBA was created for professionals who want to become part of a community—not simply collect business cards or attend another networking event.

Our members build meaningful connections that often grow into lasting friendships, creating an environment where business opportunities develop naturally through trust and shared experiences.

Our Mission

Connecting trusted professionals across Long Island.

To foster meaningful relationships that strengthen businesses, support personal growth, and create lasting value for our members and the communities they serve.

Our Values

What we hold in common

Relationships First

We believe meaningful relationships create stronger businesses than transactional networking ever could.

Integrity

Every member is expected to conduct business with professionalism, honesty, and respect.

Community

We encourage members to support one another both professionally and personally, creating an organization built on genuine friendships.

Growth

LIBA exists to help members expand their professional network while continuing to grow as business leaders.

Who Should Join?

A great fit for professionals who…

  • Want to grow their network through genuine relationships.
  • Enjoy collaborating with other business owners and professionals.
  • Value trust, integrity, and long-term connections.
  • Appreciate spending time with like-minded entrepreneurs both inside and outside of business.
  • Are looking to become part of a welcoming professional community.

Who May Not Be the Right Fit?

Leads alone aren't the point.

LIBA is not designed for professionals looking only for immediate leads or sales opportunities.

Our members invest time getting to know one another, supporting each other's businesses, and building authentic relationships. Business opportunities naturally follow those relationships over time.

If your primary goal is simply to collect leads, LIBA probably isn't the right organization for you.

What Makes LIBA Different?

Most groups focus on referrals. We focus on relationships.

Our members don't just attend a monthly meeting and go home. We enjoy spending time together through optional lunches, networking events, social outings, charity events, golf, happy hours, and other informal gatherings.

These shared experiences help create genuine friendships, making LIBA a community of professionals who enjoy supporting one another both personally and professionally.

Membership Commitment

Designed to fit busy professional lives.

Members are expected to attend one required meeting each month, with ten required meetings throughout the year.

In addition to our monthly meetings, members are invited to optional monthly lunches, quarterly networking events, charitable activities, and a variety of social gatherings that help strengthen relationships within the organization.

Participation beyond the required meetings is encouraged because the strongest business relationships are often built outside the boardroom.

Networking Events

Four signature events each year.

Our signature events typically welcome around 50 professionals from a variety of industries.

They provide an opportunity to expand your network, reconnect with existing relationships, and introduce guests to the collaborative culture that makes LIBA unique.

Whether you're attending your first event or have been a member for years, our goal is always the same: create an environment where authentic relationships can grow.
